Snoogle Total Body Pillow Review

{Snoogle Total Body Pillow

Not only is this a must for pregnancy aches and pains, but its beyond sexy. Women, watch out, your going to have to hold your husband back from jumping on you like Charlie Sheen on every prostitute and her dog. This pillow with help put your restless nights to sleep, however it will also put a huge wall between you and your spooning husband...whether this is a good thing or a bad is entirely up to you.

My husband and I made the decision to to buy this pillow in the first month of my pregnancy, for the simple fact that I couldn't sleep, and if I can't sleep - nobody can. Once doing research on what pillow to buy, we can across many options all which claim to be "the best".  After reading review, after review after review, I came to the assumption that I wanted the most expensive one..... Why? Because I said so!

After tracking it down at our local Babies R' Us, we instantly ran to our bank to get approved for our loan. To our surprise they don't do loan's on material stuffed with cotton... Go Figure! These Pillows are expensive, but they are worth every red cent! We purchased ours for just under $100 however I am sure it will vary from city to city and country to country.

{Leachco Snoogle Chic Cover - Taupe | $29.95 CDN at Babies R' Us}

Also if your name ends in Bags and starts with Money, and spending a $100 on a Pillow hasn't put you in a state of shock yet, then you can personalize it with a new "chic" pillow case for an additional $20 to $40 {depending on its design}.

As much as I like to make jokes about the cost or beauty of its cock-blocking way in all honestly this has been life saving in my house. I would not have made it through these 5 months as gracefully as I have, and thats a fact! Thank you Snoogle - for making my husbands life less like Ricco the dreamy Massage Therapist and more like Sammy the hard working, dinner cooking, hockey watching man I have love.

The Snoogle Total Body Pillow no doubt gets a "Mommy Award". Thanks to Leachco, my nights are filled with Sugarplums Dancing and about 2 "pee" runs that I can't seem to avoid. If you are in need of some relief of Pregnancy aches and pains - I highly recommend the Leachco Snoogle Total Body Pillow.

Surface Inspired Wall Decals {ETSY} Review

My husband and I have been working on home renovations now since we moved into our new home on May 2009. From Painting to Removing Walls, to Kitchen Demolitions, to Bathroom Overhauls and Deck Removals it seems to be a never ending "to do" list. However I am happy to announce that they are coming to a close with just a few small last details. Our entire upstairs has been remodeled and its just peachy!

We attacked the Babies Room a few weekends ago with Baseboards, Trim and Wall Decals...which If what I am here to share. We purchased Tree Wall Decals from a ETSY Seller about 9 months ago and used them for our Bathroom Renovation. We had in mind that we would also use the Trees in the Main room to fill up a blank wall that required some sprucing {if you will}. However upon finding out we were pregnant we both decided we wants to use the balance of Trees we had for his/her room. Transforming the forest into a Alice in Wonderland Theme for a little girl or an Enchanted Forest for a boy.

So my husband and I tackled  this "wee' project and I put together a review for you. Including fun pictures and all. The Decals were purchased from Surface Inspired Baby Nursery Wall Decals on ETSY, I delt with the most kind man ever, Thomas who helped with creating a special listing for us to ensure we got enough Tree's that we designed at his best possible price. We purchased 2 set's of 6 - Winter Trees Vinyl Wall Art Decals  for about $150 plus shipping. After recieving the order we were excited to get started. With all the instruction on paper in the package and a link to watch an online instructional video it was dummy-proof which is what we were hoping for.

I won't lie upon opening the box, we were very worried that this was going to be a task that we would, could, should never complete - however with the Bathroom done in an hour and the Babies Room about that same time, we really couldn't be more happier with the outcome.

Cutting the Tree Stumps out and them all the Branches we found to be the easiest route to take. Once they were all out I spread them out into piles, Tree Stumps, Long Branches, Short Branches and Busy Branches {with 2 or 3 branches breaking off of 1}. Starting with the stump or Tree center if you will we figure out where we wanted the placement. Once they were up on the wall we brought the branches in and started to play. we would temporarily tape them on with some painters tape to ensure the tree looked natural yet still considering my eye for symmetric placement. Once I was happy, up they went, branch by branch.

Sammy and I are so extremely happy with the finished product and can't wait to either spruce the room up with Tea Cups and Lace or Owls and Foxes. This day wont come until the Babies sex has been confirmed which isn't until the end of this month.

The Surface Inspired Wall Decals defiantly get a "Mommy Award" for not only its Quality and Cost, but is brilliance in changing a room from good to grand! It also should get an award for making my husband spend a total of 2 hours listening to me try and perfect the branch placement in making it look natural yet symmetric. I'm pretty sure thats an oxymoron. No?

The Belly Book Review

Today, Canada Post made me beyond happy. He brought me my Amazon package EARLIER than expected. I had them deliver it to my work, as I knew that I would want to rip it open right away and get to filling in what I have missed the past 4.5 months. And besides, their is nothing like being paid to not do my work... right ladies?

I thought Pregnant women get away with murder...no?

I ripped it open and made sure the whole office new I got a package that didn't have to do with a product return, and that I was having much more fun in my cubical than they were. That's just what I do here, I enjoy to make peoples day just peachy!

Flipped through the first few pages and couldn't be more happier having made the choice I did, with places for pictures, journaling and answering silly questions. Some that I have come across thus far are cravings, and answering whether I feel like a Fertility Goddess or Humpty Dumpty! Here are 2 images to leave you with of my fun new diary....

The Belly Book defintaly gets a "Mommy Award" for its Fun, Interactive and Creative Questions. I also may add that it keeps my mind pre-occupied here at work when all I want to do is go home early and eat Frozen Yogurt!

My Pregnancy Today by Babycenter App Review

I have about 5 or 6 App's on my iphone that are all about me and baby that I just love. However their is one that really stands out to me that I go to daily. It's the Babycenter Pregnancy App called "My Pregnancy Today" which is FREE. Its a day by day guide on what to expect, including images and video's, its just beyond amazing. I'm sure for mothers like Mrs Dugger{mother of 18... or something like that} wouldn't have much need for and App as such. However for a first time mom, I'd even say it is vital.

Details from The BabyCenter Website:

BabyCenter My Pregnancy Today is the most comprehensive daily pregnancy app from the world's most trusted pregnancy and parenting resource. Simply enter your baby's due date, and BabyCenter My Pregnancy Today turns your phone into an expert guide for each day of your pregnancy. Feel more prepared for your baby's birth and get the answers you need, whenever you need them.

  • Due date calculator: Figure out your due date and count down to the big day.
  • Nutrition guide: These tips and recipes will help you eat well and manage cravings.
What I love most about this App, is probably the fact that my husband and I can follow and understand just what is going on in this body of mine - giving me excuses for my daily whines of back pain, my mad dash's to the washroom at 2am and my nightly fight with my pillows trying to achieve comfort. I now have excuses for everything and they are all backed up by this lovely little App.

Their is a whole lotta shoving my phone in his face "see I told you... its totally normal" at my house? How about you ladies?

Here is one of the video's that you can see on your phone as a weekly update... tell me this isn't beyond cool. I just find it so neat, hard to believe thats actually going on in my body, but still so neat!

"My Pregnancy Today" App by Babycenter gets a "Mommy Award" for there brilliance in helping new parents understand and guide them day-by-day in their Pregnancy. They also win the award for the simple reason that they provide me solid facts for winning battles between my Husband and I on why if Baby is as only as large as a Apple Seed, my back can still ache!

Sea-Band Review

The first 3 months of my pregnancy were far from magical. I hate to say it, I really honestly do - but many time I thought to myself, really am I going to make it if my life is made up of crying, anger, sleeping and running to the bathroom for the next 9 months. My poor husband got the brunt of it all from my mood swings to my random crying to my "no food for me - you can't make me" fits I threw.

I cried on many occasions that mothers would tell me they had this through the whole nine months and then giggled when my Doctor told me it usually only lasts until 14 to 16 weeks.

I needed something to ease the feeling - anything really. I was willing to try - ALMOST - anything. However if it had to do with my husband researching liquid concoctions to stew up and feed to me, I wasn't having it. I will pass on your Ginger Stew that I can't even stand the smell of - I'll suffer thanks. After ranting to a girlfriend {and mother of 3} or mine she mentioned Sea-Bands helped her out a lot. Used for Motion Sickness, mostly used on cruise ships by non-sea-lovers.

Off to the Grocery Store we went, sailor cap and all, to buy me some Sea-Bands.

Purchasing these overly tight sweater bracelets were worth every $15 it cost us. Finding them in the Pharmacy area, they were located on a little round wire stand containing things you may need if going away on a floating vacation. I didn't care where I found these "bad-boys", they were coming home with me.

Got in the Car and on they went. Reading the instructions aloud my husband kept insuring me they might take a while to "kick-in", so don't expect to feel better instantly. "Ha" like he had any idea what these Sweater Bracelets even did, he was just so afraid of my timed freak out after seconds of them cutting off my circulation, with a possible no relief.

{placement of the Sea-Band is quite easy to determine, follow the picture above}

Within about 20 minutes I felt relief. Don't get me wrong I didn't feel like eating at the China Buffet anytime that day, but it defiantly gave me what I needed to go home, put a smile on my face and enjoy the Dinner that my husband was about to make me and baby. What a fabulous feeling it was to not have to rush to a bathroom every 35 minutes. My ass and the couch got a lot more acquainted for the next few weeks while I recovered from the past 12 weeks of goodness.

At 14 weeks I attempted to remove the bands to see if I could go without my training wheels and wouldn't you know it, I was one of the lucky ones, like my doctor promised. No more Nausea for me.... Only when my husband tried to feed my Ginger Tea to soothe my stomach. "Hey, not everyones belly's is soothed with the Root! So LAY-OFF on the G-Tea BUDDY!"....

Now they are no "fashion statement" but they get the job done. Sorta like Crocs, wear them and you will get caught in the next Perez Hilton Rant however when you are looking for a quick slip on to get the trash out on Garbage Day - they work!

Sea-Band gets a "Mommy Award" for there excellence in making me feel less Nauseous and more like ordering in Chinese Food with a Bag of Sour Keys for Dessert!

Bio-Oil Review

Upon finding out I was pregnant, this was the very first thing I purchased to start me on my Pregnancy Journey. Next to, of course the massive bag of Sour Keys. I knew that Stretch Marks ran in my family {as my sister and mother both had them in theres} and knew that even if it was hereditary {as I had mentioned is a belief, in my past post}I was going to at least try and prevent them from taking over my body. I did want to attempt my teeny weeny yellow bikini after baby made its way into our world.

WHERE TO PURCHASE BIO-OIL?
I purchased the Bio-Oil from a local Shoppers Drug Mart for about $25. however I am aware it is available in pretty much every "box" store that sells bathroom products. Click the links below based on your Country to find where it is available instore and online:

Canada - Prices range from $12.99 to $21.99
United States of American - Prices range from $11.99 to $19.99
Europe - Prices range from €11.95
Africa - Prices unavailable
Malaysia - Prices range from RM 32.95 to RM 54.95
Japan - Prices range from ¥1600 to ¥2800
Australia - Prices range from $14.95 to $34.95
New Zealand - Prices range from $19.95 to $44.95

Online Sales
Amazon - Prices start at $8.00

I can't fully say if the Bio-Oil wins a Mommy Award just yet, only because I'm merely 4 months into my trial/review. However here is what I can say...

1. The Bio-Oil smell brilliant and brings me to a little oasis of my own when lathering up
2. It's keeping my skin extremely soft
3. It's stopping any itchy feelings pregnant women say they get on there tummy

Up to date, I have seen only 3 stretch marks, which are all located on my tummy. Nothing on my Thighs, Bum or Bust. I personally think it has helped with some prevention seeings as some pictures I've seen women were painted with them, I am considering myself extremely lucky at this point.

This is my first child - so I cannot compare to a past pregnancy - but I will say I give the Bio-Oil a "thumbs-ups" thus far and I will continue this review as I get closer to the BIG DAY. For more review from expecting women check out the Bio-Oil Site. Stay tuned for an updated review and find out if the Bio-Oil gets a Mommy Award at the end of my pregnancy.
